Kaw Lake Association Website

A Corps of Engineers lake located in north-central Oklahoma, Kaw Lake offers boating, fishing, picnicking, and camping. There are many coves and inlets to explore, several trails for hiking, and an abundance of clean, fresh air and sparkling water. It’s a great place view nesting eagles in winter, enjoy fishing in the spring and summer, and to participate in BioBlitz! 2010 in the crisp, cool autumn air!

Tucked inbetween Osage and Kay counties, we will find a variety of habitats in the Kaw Lake Wildlife Management Areas and Army Corps of Engineer lands - tallgrass prairie remnants, Cross Timbers, wetlands, bottomland forest, and, of course, aquatic habitats are waiting to be inventoried by the BioBlitz! team of volunteer scientists.

This year we plan to have a fun filled and action packed schedule of events similar to last year - bird walks, herp talks, fish seining, insect netting.
